Finnaly got round to fitting both parts now, Janspeed manifold and JCW exhaust.

so here's a quick review....

Firstly the manifold was fitted for a few weeks before i managed to get hold of the JCW so ive got a before and after video made up so people can hear the sound differences and the cabin noise made from the change.

On the first bit of the video the stock exhaust sounds alot louder and maybe a bit tinny than normal IMO, the cabin noise with just the manifold on was not much different and the exhaust was quiet loud to start with even tho it was stock!

I then fitted the JCW and done a quick video, as on the MCS the battery scuff plate at the rear was resting on the tail pipes and made it sound slightly different but then i soon changed that and made a clip later at night, the cabin noise has not changed on normal driving at all IMO as soon as you put the pedal to the floor it does change alot, its VERRY loud!

Accelaration has improved greatly but with this been my only MOD to the car at the moment it has changed but i diddnt expect too much!

This is the first car were as ive changed parts like this myself which for me and some people at first can be quiet drastic to do but once you have a look underneath its fairly easy,

so if you contemplating having ago, go for it!

Overall im Chuffed to bits with the system and it sounds great! the main thing is that the cabin noise is close to normal when driving sensibly (as always)

Although i always let my car warm up to at least mid temp before revving it that high.

Is that a stock MCS?

Damn - i really must get my vids up there sooner than later. I'm planning on using a USB import module (about £60) that will decode video from camcorder s-video to MPEG4 - what did you use?

I've also got a special microphone with fur on it, to obtain better deeper sounds...

Not sure how your camcorder works mate, but mine came with a USB cable which lets you upload the videos off it (it has a tape inside the camcorder) onto your PC into AVI format - these files however are huge, that 26second video came out at something like 160mb - i then downloaded some software that converted the avi into Mpeg4 format which reduced file size to about 800kb

I would imagine your camcorder will be similar

On all ocasions the car was warmed up apart from the part where it goes to the JCW exhaust as it was straight after fitting it! it seems as if was'nt as i started the car up on every clip but i done that on purpose so you can hear it on startup!

And yep its completely stock except these mods with a Crank pulley n S/C pulley soon! just waiting to hear back for fitting date!

Ive got a JVC Hard disk cam corder so i jus plug it in to my laptop and open it like a Flash drive.

I got some video editing software with it called "Cyberlink Power Director" and its Very simple to use. it makes the clips into Windows media format and uploads to you tube fairly easy!

The only thing is! before i comleted it the quality was great as it should be but when i "produced" the clip the quality deminished a fair bit!
