GTT Cold Ram Induction Kit

Hi Folks,

I received my GTT cold ram kit yesterday and have just fitted it, it went on very easy and only took a few minutes. I haven't drilled the holes that roland recommends, has anyone got any pictures of holes they have drilled? Also does the panel come out quite easily or does it need to be done while it is still attached?

Thanks,

Neil

I just drilled mine with the airbox removed. Have to be careful though because there are brake pipes behind it.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Yeah I noticed them when I was fitting the new filter. What size and how many holes did you drill?

Two holes, 60mm I believe.

Use a point to mark the centres of the holes with a dent. Drill a pilot hole just to make sure then use a hole cutter. The plastic is pretty slippy (especially if you've cleaned under the bonnet) and this should ensure the drill bit and cutter don't slip.

The holes, as well as allowing more air in, also increase the supercharger whine in the cabin.

It was acceptable in the 80's

A fellow Aberdonian with GTT kit - fantastic! That's just the start.....................trust me !

I drilled 2 x 50mm holes in my back plate although have thought of drilling a few 10 mm holes just to get a wee bit more airflow.

I was reading your post about going down to GTT the other day, I thought their must stuff must be worthwhile if you were going to drive all that way for it! I normally get bored of motorways by the time I get to Cumbria!
