Increase Gap or Not?

I've managed to get my hands on a Screaming Demon coil pack & Live Wire ignition lead set which I'm hoping to fit this weekend.

Checking through some threads on here for some guidance on the spark plug gap but it seems there is no definitive answer! Do I leave the gap as fitted during my GTT220 kit or do I increase it to 0.065" as stated on the GTT site?

Cheers

I'm unsure of this as well. I left the gap as is but I don't have the GTT220 kit on my car yet just need a pulley and some small bits. But It will be worth knowing.

Hi Allan, thats the gap the coil manufacturer recommends. TBH unless you have a proper gapping tool do not attempt this. You may put a small crack in the porcelin (instant engine damage if you dont spot it) or at best the faces of the electrodes will not be parellel. I would leave as is. I have tried the bigger gap but went back to 0.8-1.0mm (.032"-.040")
Best Regards Roland GTT
