Offline | Underbonnet foam removal Howdy all, I'm looking at ways of making sure the Cooper's engine bay doesn't get too hot when the car is driving slowly around town. I have an induction kit so I am aware of hot air getting to the intake. I noticed that there is some foam sealing the top of the rad, I guess to prevent water ingress in wet weather. Do you it would be a good idea to leave in place or remove and risk it to gain the improved airflow? Or should I fit a Cooper S bonnet? ![]() There is more foam at the side but this gap is further blocked by the plastic tank attached to the intake pipe which allows water to drain before reaching the airbox. Anyone successfully removed this box? It seems to be loosely but irritatingly secured at the bottom Cheers! What new bits? I didn't buy any new bits... |
