Tuning my MCS - Advice Plesae

Ok, looking into taking my Mini Cooper S to GTT in a couple of months time. I'm hoping for arround 220 (currently 163) but I have a few questions?

I want a better performing exhaust system but not too loud, I was thinking of putting the GTT exhaust re route pipe on with some JCW tail pipes? Would this work ok and how loud would it be?

Also whats the best induction kit to go for? A GTT CAI? or JCW kit? or leave it how it is, again i really dont want any droning noise when you put your foot down.

Thanks people

Personally I would go with the re-route pipe from GTT as its a bargain. He is doing some exhaust tips soon too, and they will be a lot easier to fit than the JCW tips. I know you have to modify the JCW tips to get them to fit the stock tail pipe.

If you have a search you will find a post by Roland showing the back pressure of several different exhausts, including stock, stock with GTT re-route pipe, JCW, and Milltek. The standard exhaust with the re-route pipe isnt very restrictive at all.

When it comes to the CAI I would go with the GTT, but I didnt car that it didnt look stock under the bonnet. If you want it to look OEM you can get the JCW kit and get a bit more performance by putting the GTT filter in it. Its some hybrid thing on the GTT site.

With either kit you will get more noise. My car is pretty quiet until it gets past 3500rpm at WOT. Then it tends to be get a bit noisy, but thats mostly my manifold. With the CAI you will hear more supercharger whine, but not any more drone.
