| Lovin' every MINI of it! | I think the question to ask is if the pulley on the Polo is the same as the stock pulley on the MINI? What might be 17% on our MINI's might be a whole different thing on that car. My advice would be to find a Polo forum and ask there..... Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | I'm sure GTT or Alta could have something manufactured for you to a correct % reduction from the Polo stock size. like Daflake says the MINI pully may not be the same size as the one used on the Polo. Also the charger although the same one might have differences to internals...the MINI e45 changed and so the e45 the Polo runs might not be up to the straign of a reduced pulley or might be even more capable than the MINI so you could go smaller and more powerful than we can. |

Offline | Its a 5th Gen M45 with teflon coated blades. It is from a mini cooper S that had delivery miles. The pulley size is exactly the same we normally run 15% smaller pulleys but im going to try a 17% smaller pulley as I ahve forged pistons etc and can take a lot more abuse. The jabbasport tuned G40s are nice but the Pitstopdevelopment ones are quicker and ive changed from one of theres to a Eaton charged polo rather then the old G40 charger. cheers lew |

| MINI2 Newbie | Hi all, For a 2002 Mini Cooper S with Alta V 2 Induction Kit. I have purchased a 17% Alta V2.0 pully reducer for the supercharger and belt. Also upgraded NGK plugs. Planning for a remap before running past 400 rpm as a precaution. I have all the tools for the job If you want to hire the tools to do it you can get them from me if you wish. I have the belt compressor toool and the pully removal tool from Alta. Qu, Do I need a better exhaust Do I need the remap. I have talked with BMW engineers and they say the cars are set up for a richer fuel mix at the factory. So what to do? |
