How come Lohen 210 has remap whereas gtt 210 doesnt?

Hi guys,

Just wondering as to the above really, Lohen and GTT both do a 210bhp tuning package. How come Lohen's has a remap whereas GTT's doesnt? They both seem to be identical other than that so surely the Lohen one would produce more power?

Comments pls

Hi Sam, GTT210 doesnt include a remap (just a reset) as it doesnt benefit from it. Arguably conversions are often worse off for having a remap..
GTT210 includes optimised bypass valve which increases power at WOT ,and GTT Twin Bearing Idler pulley for belt reliability -, neither of these are included in the Lohen 210. We also use interference fit SC pulleys that fix in the same way as stock and look 'stocklike' too. Our pulleys are -17% which will provide more power lower down than a 15%. We dont like running too high revs and/or too much advance to try and achieve the power.
TBH I never sussed out how the Lohen 200 kit (about a year ago or so?) suddenly became the Lohen 210. I didnt see any changes in the spec? -Maybe I missed something
Best Regards Roland GTT

Roland,

Thank you for the speedy response....that does sound rather suspicious but anyway, not for me to comment. Does your 210 conversion give better off the line and low down pull? I find that from standstill it is fairly sluggish until the revs have risen a bit. I do find your conversion rather interesting and I am looking at uprating the brakes too (nothing too drastic) in the near future as they are wearing very low now too.
Regards
Sam

Hi Sam, yes the extra 2% on the SC pulley makes more differnce low/midrange than at redline tbh.
Even on the track we always shift at 6K maximum . A much nicer way to drive IMHO.
Best Regards Roland GTT
For front brakes we do the GTT Spiroslot Front Dics+Kevlar Pads +Dot 5.1 fluid at £129+vat (supply )

What year is your car Sam as we do see a difference in horsepower between early and late blowers.

You're just starting out with less horsepower to begin with, our old engine made 10 horsepower less than 05-06 cars that we've seen.

We like the pulley as the first mod then exhaust manifold comes in secound, this is the best increase per £ you'll see

What BHP would I be looking at with a pulley? And what would it cost with a suitably reduced belt? Im in Sevenoaks Kent btw....do you do fitting?
