I think i might need a replacment air con pump does anyone know how much a used or new one will set me back.Mine will come on but it seems to make a nocking/tapping sound that seems higher up than the pump its self but i think it could be the noise traveling through the pipes.

Looks to be about $640 USD (the compressor)..
That's just for the part.
Also need to recover the refrigerant in an environmentally sound manner,
change receiver/drier, and recharge with refrigerant/lubricant, which will
cost a bit as well
