JCW Remap (MTH)

Hi guys, this week I will receive my new Intercoller 2.0 from ALTA. I was thinking on buying the MTH remap (230hp) for my JCW. The thing is that I donīt know anybody here with it. Could you please help me out?. Anyone has it?. Is it bad for the car when someone does a remap, or not?. Thanks a lot!.

P.D: I really need to know a lot more about it before I buy it.

Ricky,

Installing a new intercooler does not really require an ECU remap. The JCW already is running a specialized map designed for it. However, there is more power to be gained from a remap to something like MTH. I run MTH and love it. The remap is easy and if you have ever flashed the BIOS on a computer, it is just like that.

I would recommend that you contact Roland with GTT Tuning (Audi TT Styling, Tuning, Parts and Accessories Specialist) to see what you can gain from it.

Thanks DaFlake for your opinion. Apart from the Intercooler, I have the Oil cath can, the Inlet Hose 6speed Manual, Kw Variant 2 Suspenssions, Short Shifter. If anyone could tell me about it...

There is noting that that is going to really change any of the engine variants. So, you are still ok without it.

I've got the MTH on my JCW, and 230 HP it is not. It is a definate improvement, no doubt - less obtrusive DSC, less dramatic rev limiter, a little better fuel economy, peak torque seems to come a bit quicker in the revs. But 230HP is an overstatement.

Thanks Tobias, Now that I know someone that has it. So that Iīm gonna install the New Intercooler, I has the idea of adding the MTH remap. I think it would help a lot. Maybe this way can get a little closer to 230 hp. What do you think of it?. Do you think is worthy buying tha MTH Remap?.

Thanks once more

Customer service from MTH (direct) is non existant. I have run the MTH map for the last 12 months and yes is does make a difference but no where near what they claim.
