Throttle body pipe connection ?

Hi can anybody help with a question MCS O4 REG about the gray pipe from the throttle body,It has become disconnected I noticed that the revs almost doubled when this happened but i cant see where it was connected to,at the moment i have blocked of the pipe , and the revs have dropped back to normal,even the mini dealer has no idea where it goes to ,but has managed to order me a new one. if i unblock the pipe it it is sucking air.and the revs rise to about 1700rpm !!!!
Any help would be appreciated
