| MINI2 Newbie | Induction kits for My One??? Alrite need a bit of help on this 1 plz. i currently have a 2006 mini one, with blue fin, JCW exhaust and a Pipercross Panel Air Filter. I was thinking about replacing the air box with the Pipercross panel Air Filter inside, with an induction kit. Was research the net and the two that stand out are the "Pipercross Viper Kit" and the "Pipercross Induction Ki"t. Can someone give me some help or feed back these, and which one to pick, or if there is even any bother to replace the air box?? |

Online | The viper kit is the best kit on the market really for the One, but it will only give you about 1/2 bhp more than the normal pipercross induction kit, i have the normal pipercross induction kit and its really good, so for £80 odd quid against £200 and something, i would go for the £80 job! ![]() Alex |

Offline | I have the pipercross Viper at the moment and I agree with above, it is barely any different from the cheaper £80 pipercross induction kit which I had previously. You notice the advantage of it if you drive your car really hard on a hot day however for the £150 extra it isn't really worth it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Is the difference from stock big enought to be worth 80£? To me it sounds like alot to pay for just an induction kit. My car has bluefin if that makes any difference to the benefit of having an induction kit. |

Offline | The induction kit didn't make much difference to the performance of my ONE but it already had Bluefin so that may be why. The main reason for an induction kit on a ONE is for the sound really. Unless you start spending a couple of hundred £ getting one with a carbon fibre surround you wont notice much performance increase...maybe it'll rev slightly easier but thats about it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
