Offline | Return to stock pulley?? Looking for a bit of advice from you guys... Thinking of swapping in my 52 plate S for a newer mini, problem is its got an aftermarket supercharger pulley on. Don't think the dealer would take it back with it still on, so question is has anybody returned back to standard pulley from an aftermarket? Or has anybody swapped their car in modified? Is there anywhere recommended around Manchester area? Thoughts much appreciated, cheers |

Offline | There's only one salesman I know who would spot it, and they would probably approve off it ![]() Do you know whose pulley it is? Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it |

| MINI2 Regular | I've pondered this question a few times for when it comes for me to do a similar thing. I've got a GTT pulley that I didn't paint. Its got a slight rust layer on it now which make sit look very worn and blends it with the rest of the cars engine. When an engineer was inspecting the engine mount he didn't look twice at it! |

| MINI2 Regular | I think when the stock pulley is put on it is heated to expand and then cooled to lock on to the shaft. I think you're better off leaving the after market on there. Or you could get an aftermarket stock-size supercharger pulley so you can put the reduced size SC pulley on your new car (assuming it will have a supercharger). |

Offline | Dealers don't give a Rats A about non stock components I traded my MCS for a new JCW and no mention was made about my 15% reduction pulley. In fact the Mini Garage that sold me the JCW fitted the pulley. remember Caveat Emptor. Last edited by stephen orford : Jun 27th, 2007 at 01:26 AM. Reason: spelling |
