Hello,
I was wondering if anyone would know the temperature a CAI heat shield can get.

I just installed a MINI-Madness CAI w/ cowl mod on my MCSa. The MCS automatic has a cord/wire that rests right against the heat shield and I've noticed the heat shield gets quite hot!

I was told to buy a spark plug thermal cover which states it can protect against heat up to 500 degrees and place it over the cord/wire at the part that sits against the heat shield.

Has anyone ran into this problem or knows what would work best?

Also I had a little difficulty installing the CAI (instructions were not very elaborate when installing the filter/clamps). If anyone notices any problems from the pics please let me know - I believe both clamps it came with are suppose to be installed as I did in the pics below???
