Pipercross compatibility....

HI, do you guys know if a pipercross viper, or standard induction kit are compatible with a mini one in such a way that the standard airbox can easily be re-fitted? I ask this as my 2006 mini one hasn't even come to its first service date yet but i want to add an iduction kit to liberare my bluefin, however i want to be able to re install the old airbox so my garage doesnt know! thanks, alex.

You will remove the airbox by unscrewing some bolts, and the intake pipe which attaches to the throttle body is usually disconnected and replaced it with the new parts. Not difficult, nothing is damaged during the process and it can be swapped back again at any time and should only take about 20 mins.

Filter panel is quicker, easier and cheaper and won't be so sensitive to underbonnet heat, but it sounds little different to standard. Open cone of some kind will roar more .

What new bits? I didn't buy any new bits...

It Takes minutes not hours a couple of screws and a few clips but most garages don't mind about induction kits mines even had one of the free services on without a catalytic convertor!
