Ok what next? GTT 230 spec where to go next

Ok, so what do i do next. Do i stick with what i have and be content, or do i get head work and cams and push it to the 260 figure. Will the cash actually be worth it.

It seems i have 2 options, i either go the head and cams and deal with any reliability issues this may then cause with the increased power.

Or

Aero kit, clean car up a bit, maybe a set of JCW wheels, and be content with the fast an dgood looking car. Save extra cash to keeping it on the road and serviced and start saving for the mk5 Golf R32 i really want

I would personally go for the head and cam work, these you'll find very worth while. As far as reliability goes, if you use the best fuel you can get hold of, and drive it the way Roland tells you too, you'll have no problems!!!. I have a high powered mini which has had no problems at all (touch wood) because I drive it with the instructions given too me.

It all depends how you drive your car and how often you use 5000 to 6850.

Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02
IT'S NOT HOW MUCH YOU SPEND BUT HOW WELL YOU SPEND IT

I'm taking my car to the Nurburging next year (be the 3rd time I've been there), so I'm fitting a fuel swirl pot and an extra fuel pump as this has been suggested by Ray West, he'll then do another re-map once its all fitted

Well my Mini's at a similar state of tune to yours Ant and, personally, I'm leaving it as it is. For a front wheel drive car, I think it's quick enough. When it no longer satisfies my thirst for speed, I'll be looking for something more capable out-of-the-box.

Would almost be as quick as a 260bhp MINI

I personally would go for new head and cam, but thats me and the sort of thing I like to do.
