Chrisflyer......I can confirm that Karl (GTT270) is not on any kind of retainer. He is a genuine enthusiast who has been pleased with work we have done to his car,and therefore returned for more work. He has never asked for special deals in return for any kind of promotion on Mini2. He's no reason to be biased but obviously can relate to many GTT products/service etc as he has first hand experience of both. - Karls credability is 100%.
Over the last 15 years we have been asked if we can do a 'very nice price' in return for promotion on various forums, magazines or club newsletters. -the answer is always no. If people want to tell others of the good products & service they receive at GTT then its obviously very welcome . I've even had features writer for a major mag. ask if they could have our dump valve kit free for himself ,in return for a n extra good write up.....I went up the wall (not a Mini mag. BTW)
Some people spend a lifetime starting group buys and/or acting as guinea pigs to test companys products then promote/hype it on forums in return for freebies etc.....I can see through it but I'm sure many dont.
Best Regards Roland GTT

I understand you being bi-est towards GTT are you on a retainer.
I on the other are neither one way or the other and am a little skeptical of the comments made by some manufactures referring to others parts.
In one case I found it a little strange if not hard to believe for some one to have spent in the region of £900 on a JCM manifold to then go and have it replaced.

Sorry pal, didn't see the dyslexic flag being waved there.

Yes, i bought a Works MCS as i thought they were the best at the time and was on my natural upgrade from a MINI Cooper, followed by a MINI Cooper S. I bought the motorsport manifold because it was JCW.

But then i thought - 210bhp, probably 200bhp - nah, i need more. So off i went to Roland. Never looked back, and i really can't fathom why the Works brand is soo sought after. I mean, there is no heritage in it anymore anyway, and the warranty smorranty - look at how well the GTT products last. I feel that the GTT products exceed the JCW/M parts by far - i mean, look at the effort Roland put in to the brakes - Excellent !!

Each to their own.

Cheers,
K.

To confirm what Roland says - I've returned to the GTT brand time and time again because of 3 main reasons (well, 4 actually):

1) The products are very well designed and fitted - everything has a true purpose.
2) Reliability is tried and tested, over many years and many miles.
3) Customer services is excellent, enthusiam is high, and the whole experience is top class
4) ...and the drive to Dorset is a great adventure !!

...and no, i'm not on a retainer

Cheers,
Karl.

Hi,

Roland
The comment about the retainer was a joke, if hes not on one may be he should be.
OK to say he is biest torwords you products may not be the right words lets say very Pro your
products. Lets be honest if he wasn't he would not of come back so many times,.
The other point I was making was if you are going to make a comparison it should be like for like.

not if you ditch the cat plus remember that Chilli21's mini is a cooper so you'll get greater middrange gains from a gass flowed mani 4-2-1 over a 4-1 where as you see less of a midd range increse on the S, My Cooper went from 124@fly to 138@fly with just an air filter and the JCracing exz system,

BUT at the end of the day you dont buy the manifold to get BIG bhp gains its purely for the sound the big gains are in cam and head work
