I currently have a Madness CAI and just started to hear an unfamiliar sound.

When I get the MINI to a higher traveling speed I start to hear sporadic wind-like noises. The best way to describe this noise is if you were to be traveling on a freeway and you crack your window slightly, you get a loud wind screechy noise. It's like this but under the hood. I'm not sure if this is because of the amount of air/wind going through the vents and into the CAI or if it’s a real problem.

The higher the traveling speed the higher the whine from the SC. I have the MM CAI as well and don't have any "wind screeching" issues but I do hear the SC!
