hi guys,

Is the 1.6 tritec used in the mini absolutely identical to the tritec used in the euro Neons and PT Cruisers? I mean ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL? Besides the sticker on top of course

It is likely only the block is the same. Then engine head design, ECU, etc are probably different.

There is nothing the same, totally different but similar in looks

ah didnt know that 1320 autos i allways thought they were the same

Our engine is like a little baby brother 90% scale there's a good website somewhere comparing the two.

I would of have a 2400cc in the Mini by now if it was a straight swop.

cool thanks for the info...anyone know what differs internally (except the obvious supercharger) on a cooper s motor compared to a cooper? forged pistons and conrods i presume?
