| Affinity to 1320 Autos | I haven't had a remap either... I've got a Borla Exhaust and 15% red' pulley and dynoed at 214... Different tuners say different things but I'm not going to worry about a remap tbh... |

| Lovin' every MINI of it! | I highly doubt that you are pulling 214 HP at the wheels with just those two mods. In fact, I don't see it being possible. 05/06 MCS is about 152 at the wheels. Add 15 Hp for pulley and probably 6 for the cat back and you are around 173 at the wheels. 214!?!? If you have some trade secret, how much do you want for it? Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Its all to do with giving the best advice for each individual car....some applications work best on the stock map....some require remap.....some are fine on the stock map and would be better off spending spare cash on bigger injectors....of which some are better with 380cc and some 450cc. A tuned S is going to struggle to put in more fuel at the top end on stock injectors as there virtually maxed out anyway ,therefore remapping isnt going to help here ,and tbh going up on injector size alone works VERY well on the MCS, given the choice of spending £250 for a remap or bigger injectors in most instances (not all) I'd recommend the injectors. Best Regards Roland GTT ![]() ps Who did the work on the car the subject of this thread? Why not take it back and get it checked over ,seems the obvious first step. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | re my maping I had my ECU sent off to a friend of of a friend who is one of the chief mechanics for the bmw challenge team.He flashed my ecu with the latest JCW software and its runs v.smoothly.I do notice a drop in power since ive changed my engine ,but thats probably due to getting rid of the BBR gti 19% pully and the ,minisport big valve head and kent cam.together with the mth software .Although the head was cracked in 4 places the car went alot faster with the old mods but i understand the stock head is **** and very restrictive which is why im going for a large valve head and high lift cam again. Then i'll get it on the rollers, and hopefuly get the mapping just right. |
