Mini In The Park 07

So looks like a Mini only meet with £20 for unlimited runs.

There is also a Peak Performance day on the Friday £60 (private test session) for those wanting to get some practise in, also a rwyb on the Sat. as well.

Let the banter begin

I've re done the nitrous nozzle and gone back to the NOS annular discharge model, 4hrs of hard labour to get it where we wanted it.

Might put a bigger stage 4 nozzle setup for MITP so I have more control on the distrubition, also run a separate pump, but I'll probably run out of time.

might come on the Saturday. I'm on the MA stand in the Sunday. This time I am taking all the junk out the back of the car. Gonna be on the MA stand on the Sunday, but I guess I will be in the queue most of the time for the track.

I really need to get a new clutch fitted, if I dont I will just have to keep launching like its normal street driving.

Anyone know if that Pepper White MCS is going to MITP that was at Shakespere Raceway on Saturday? He was giving it some stick.

Have to swap notes next time then chap! I've been launching at 1.5k-ish, or a little less and shifting at 6.8k through the gears.

i was just taking off as if i was at the lights thinking i was up against some old GT 5 turbo (slow ass things)

looking for new tyers for MITP as runflats are realy and truly crud! so much tramping at the line its horrid!

if theres one bit of advice id give you its dont try for times at first its the MPH across the line thats the proff of the bhp, time come later once you have a feel for the track and car then it becomes the launch and how much you can control the car with in the first 100ft or so! if your too slow to react then its pure wheelspin get it just right and it feel ever so good!

I use to get about 50-60 nitrous passes out of the Helix 4 paddle clutch.

At the moment I've probably got 40 dyno runs and 12 runs (no nitrous) 10 of them launching at 7400

I'm not really bothered about BHP. BHP is for down the pub, I'm only semi-interested in BHP, otherwise I would actually go to a RR day or get my car weighed. I'd rather go drive it

I'm just a bit competative and like to do stuff well while having a bit of a laugh.

I will be interested to see how much difference the tyres make to your times.

The tyres will have abig impact et wise should be at leat 2.0s 60ft , I've been 1.72 with the Mini, it'll also help with the 60ft-330ft time.

So whats the difference going to be overl at the end of the track?

It does seem like front wheel drives car suffer on the 60ft.

Your mph will stay the same you wil also see that the increments between the 330-660-1000-1320 will stay the same unless you make more hp.

If your 60ft dropped from 2.3 to 2.0 you would see a 3/10ths gain at the other end same principel with the 60-330.

I have my own spread sheet in excel which shows me all the increments, so i can see what and where things help me to go faster.

Definately up for the MITP, it would be rude not to
having the reactions of "trigger" from only fools and horses wont help though

Never been to any MINI shows before. Had a look at the Mini in the Park website and looks mainly classic Minis, is there a strong following for the New MINI at these shows, as I wouldn't mind going and seeing some 1/4 mile action.
