Gtt Cai

Popped down to GTT this morning and picked up a Shiny new GTT CAI. Got it home and fitted within 15 mins, having to take off the works strut brace as well. Dead easy to do, looks great and sounds awesome. The biggest improvement I would say is the annoying surge has now dissapeard. What I mean by that is on the standard airbox dabbing the throttle then letting off would make the car surge forward even after you had let off, I'm sure you all know what I mean by this. Anyway, the new induction kit gets rid of that and makes driving the S that much more smoother.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the kit works well with the Works strut brace. It does fit but the strut brace pushed very hard down onto the heat shield of the CAI. I'm guessing the GTT strut brace is a better fit? (or have i just not fitted it right )

You have to cut a section out to fit the GTT brace...

Hi guys, idealy a cutout should be made to suit whichever brace you have, having said that Ive since seen a few cars with JCW brace fitted without any cutout. Doesnt seem to cause a problem just pushes down a bit more than is ideal.
We can precut them for GTT/JCW/OMP braces if we know before hand . (£10+vat).
Glad you like it!
Best Regards Roland GTT

Does any one have detailed instructions on how to fit this? I bought one used and I'm a complete mechanical novice - does the GTT CAI just go where the top part of the OEM air box goes?

I have an MCSa by the way.
