I read this thread when it first got put up, just read it again and people are jumping in (like me now) for no reason.....

As far as i can read no one is having a dig, Ant had a problem a put a thread up to find a solution, i do agree that it would have been easier to just ring roland but theres nothing wrong with putting up this thread, in fact its helped me, if i was to buy the intercooler from the same member as i was going to that ant did then id have the same problem.
But now i will no to ask first if the part is the before i do buy a 2nd hand GTT I/C....... (if i do)

Whats wrong with any of the service that Roland has offered hear.....????? If you owned a company would you make extra parts for when the original customer sells the parts on but not everything is there so he needs extra parts so he can sell it??? 1 per I/C is all id make.

Any reasonable explanation why this should be so?

Very fair question with a resonable answer below..

There is no need ,probably confuses people and nobody else does.
2) I havnt sold this intercooler, somebody else has, and your trying to make it out somehow to be my fault that THEY havnt included everything! (ok they didnt know, but your transaction has nothing to do with us!)
3) Not even a thanks from Ant for explaining why hes got a problem, just a thread that wasnt necessary, just an email would get the answers required..
4) You buy & fit a GRS or Alta or whatever intercooler to an already modified MCS and their going to warranty your engine if it goes bang ? - I dont think so.
-You 2 guys are cheesing me off today.
GTT Warranty....Bear in mind we are not supplying /fitting/modding any internals in the engine. We ensure the car is running/fuelling/boosting etc correctly when it goes out. If you then change something we then have no control ,The parts of the GTT conversion and the labour is always covered , (if supplied & fitted by us) its this 'extra' warranty that 'could' become voided /part voided if fundamental changes are made afterwards.
I think that is very fair and certainly more than most would ever offer.
Roland GTT

I completey agree with you on this warranty Roland very fair.

Saying its not warrantied full stop if you fit someone elses I/C to me sounds like 'use us or else' approach which is something I would personally be very surprised at, having dealt personally many times with Roland.

I do agree with you hear tho but i guess this thread is over lol

I think that it is cleared now. Cheech clearly spun this one up for no reason. It is not hard to misinterpert something when a post like that gets made against you.

I just saw SpiderX is a bit fed up with his bigger SC conversion car and is thinking of selling it, or reverting back to the stock SC. He needs ot spend another $3000 to get it sorted.

Any half developed conversion is realy bad news for any consumer that buys it. To market it, its got to be 100% right , soak tested, tested beyond its spec etc etc. ...Its not easy....
Anyway were going off topic .

From his post after he took his car to LDG. Well, to say he isnt happy with the car isnt exactly right, but he did say he might sell it rather than pay the extra cash to get it where he wanted with the m62 kit. Guess you missed the post on NAM. I'll find the link out for you.

No problem. I'm all for more tuners doing more stuff. The greater the competition between them, the more choices we have as consumers and the better the final products will be.

Not really on topic but similar...

This is not a dig at GTT or any other manufacturer but an observation and word of warning and advice to GTT converted cars.

A friend of mine has the GTT IC and also the GTT air box as part of his GTT kit. The airbox shield is hitting the IC and causing it to get damaged, there is concern that this will eventually cause the IC to hole and therefore stop working.

Now we believe this not to be because of GTT but because the engine supports/mounts on the car are allowing too much movement under heavy load and so the two items collide. I'd suggest that GTT owner just check this area of possible damage out and if its happening have a quiet word with roland to check its fitted right and then consider getting either tougher engine mounts or an engine stabaliser (shock absorber) to reduce flex and stop the rubbing.

Good luck and hope no-one else finds thiers is doing this...the car is an 05

Not good.... I bet an Engine Damper would do the job.
