Hi ther, i am new to this forum so go easy on me , i was just wondering wether you can fit a cooper s supercharger onto a cooper 1.6 ? ![]() If so how much would i be looking for a secound hand supercharger ? and every thing that i would need to fit ? would it need a much stronger gearbox and clutch ? Thanks alot Ben ![]() |

Offline | Hi, welcome to MINI2 ![]() Have a look at this thread, it may answer some of your questions. Basically, their are quite a few differences in the engine/drivetrain between the Cooper and Cooper S to handle the extra power so it probably won't be straightforward or cheap! |

Offline | yer but noo yer but noo yes it can be done with enough time and money, is it an econmical route? no only slightly better off by dropping a "s" engine in into cooper still a no no if the cash front is important not forgetting you will have to buget for new bonnet as well, and silly insurance as modified, might be more than a gp ![]() much better off with an s to start with ![]() ![]() carefree |
