Oil filter part no ?

Ordered a genuine oil filter for my 11/2001 Cooper off the net, it quickly arrived this morning but i have a query. The box gives part no 11 42 7 512 446 but on the filter edge part no 11 42 7 509 208, both are genuine MINI badged. Is there a difference between the two and if there is will the filter fit and perform correctly?
Just about to treat the MINI to a MOBIL 1 oil change and dont want to fit the wrong filter, many thanks.

Thanks Chris but the part no on the filter itself is 11 42 7 509 208, will this fit?

The part number 11427512446 is for the filter and o-ring, as the o-ring has a separate part number (11427562249), then I imagine the part number 11 42 7 509 208 is just for the filter, although this isn't listed on RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog

Thanks Stu that makes logical sense. I have put the filters part no into google and it gave me various foriegn sites but what i did find was a replacement filter manufacture that listed a filter that replaced OE 11 42 7 512 446 and 11 42 7 509 208 both being same dimensions. I am now pretty sure the filter will fit correctly however always grateful of more suggestions.
