What to do next? - Tuning

Hi everyone, i'm new to mini2 and i am looking for some advise on increasing the performance on my 2002 mini one. So far I have the Amd One-Click and K&N 57i. These do make quite a significant difference from the standard 90 odd bhp upto 123bhp (gtec pro). However, you soon get used to the power and get bored again.

I'm looking for advise onto what to do next. Cheap and expensive. I'm thinking about a milltek at some point but in the mean time i'm wondering what to do for under £200?

Also, what kind of difference do performance injectors make and what are the best to go for?

Any suggestions and advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Sam.

injectors won't do much on an NA mini, best thing really would be Manifold and exhaust, anything above that and your looking at very exepnsive, and while the cooper S is there there is no point spending loads of money on an NA 1.6 mini.

I'm sorry to say it, but I'm so sick of everyone saying "just buy a Cooper S" or "you have a crappy gearbox". I hope all the Mini Cooper S's in the world blow up.

Well this went a bit out of hand. Good points raised, sometimes wonder why we continue to keep spending money sometimes thousands when you can buy a car more designed for the job in the 1st place. My excuse is insurance, wont get insured on anything more than a one!

AntFR, think i'm going for the milltek cat back on tuesday. Whats the general feedback on these for mini's. Also, what effect does gutting the cats have? Is it possible to do by hand?

Cheers, Sam.

I am pretty sure that you don't need a cat on the One as so many people offer decats. i would not bother doing it yourself as YOU WILL NEED it come MOT time, so best of getting one of the janspeed manifolds with removable sports cat. However due to the noise increase i would stick with a sports cat. but there must be some one owners on here who will know more on the subject as i am an MCS owver
