Milltek Fitted, quick question?

Just had my milltek fitted

Only done about 10 miles so far, think the smell has gone. Just wondering how long I should be taking it easy to let the exhaust bed in?

Also is there an easy way to look for leaks? other than listening?

First impressions are that its perfect!!

If you get a leak you will hear it. Even a pinhole sized leak will make a racket like you wont believe!

Glad you like the Milltek.

I ragged it from the moment it went on. The millies tend to leak a bit when cold due to the engine flex cracking the seals a bit on the joints...once she gets warmed up they really go on song....and 3-5 K islike music to the ears!

You dont need to bed an exhaust in as its not got moving parts to "bed in"

Basically they mean dont rag it first time out before you have heated it up to make the seals nice and tight.. 10 miles of easish driving should be enough. From now on just rag it...like I said it will possibly blow a little from the joints first thing when cold but after a mile or so or a few minutes this will stop and she will have expanded to take up any movement caused by engine flexing.

When you get a chance could you post some vids? I'm considering a Milltek for my One, where did you get it done?

No point, the S is a different engine and the milltek will be totally different for a One.

Excellent, I've got a Pipercross Viper coming in the next couple of days!! Did you mean the 'One' is for sale or the Milltek? If it's the Milltek you may have some interest here!! PM me nearer the time though!!

MiniOneSam, just go on to Youtube and type in MiniMania Mini One or Mini One exhaust ir Miltek exhaust Mini One. You know i have made loads of videos about my Mini One when it had everything on it.

MiniOneAndrew i upgraded to a Mini Cooper S on Friday and all i can say is its mind blowing!!!!!!!! It pulls so hard in every gear at any speed, its fab!

I now have a Black face lift mini cooper S with chilli pack etc, i thought i would miss the One more than i am but every time i put my foot down or when i hear the passengers in my car say **** this is quik it puts a huge grin on my face that i cant rub off, im like a cheshire cat!!!

Im now on the look out for a 15% pulley and a cat back exhaust if anyone has either for sale?

Alex
