Offline | OEM 06 Cooper Cat Back makes 240bhp After a disappointing performance from the 1320 Mini at MITP (13.8@97), we had the horrible task off trying to figure out why it had lost performance when at 3am Sat morning it had made 248 bhp on the dyno. In this instance Its nice to have have been around friends/racers for so long and sharing stories, because we could of wasted a lot of time trying to find this missing horsepower. One of the many stories deep in my memory bank was of a racer friend called John Sleath who had at the time a 1500hp Saab, he suddnley lost loads of power, it took him ages for him to find where and why he had lost it, but it turned out his silencer had collapsed inside thus blocking the exit hole. So with this in mind, we put an 06 Cooper catback on and yes you've guessed it, we picked up 22bhp ![]() We will be performing an autopsy in the next few days ![]() Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it |
