| MINI2 Newbie | Mini One D Foaming Header Tank Recently bought a mini one d 1.4, the car started over heating and my local dealer diagnosed it as a leak in the header tank as it was still loosing a lot of water. The car has come back and after about 10 minutes of driving pressure builds in the header tank to a state where water is starting to escape! and the coolant is beginning to foam. The temperature stays stable though, as i first thought it was looking like a head gasket, Any ideas? |

Offline | Might be head gasket? Could be thermostat jammed shut, hence water cannot recirculate through the radiator. When the water "boils", does the radiator feel hot or cold? If the dealer has had the car in, really they should have sorted it before they gave it back. ![]() |
