Offline | modified bypass valve I have been reading through a few threads and seen people on their mods lists have a modified bypass valve and was just wondering what the advantage is with a modified bypass valve? Regards James |

| MINI2 Senior | I believe its not really modified but just adjusted so the butterfly is closing properly and making the valve work to full effectivness, I think alot of them wont close/ open at 180 / 90 degrees http://www.mini2.com/forum/engine-dr...ification.html Last edited by MINIAC : Sep 15th, 2007 at 07:21 PM. Offline | I have just been reading this thread from the link cooperslad shown me and there is someone saying that 2005 cooper s have had the bypass valve corrected from the factory. Could anyone back this up or is it worth me checking mine? Roland would probably be best to answer this as he does this mod and may have come across a 2005 cooper s Regards James |

![]() Obsessive Car Cleaner OCC | AFAIK Roland has said that 99% of cars hes had in for a conversion have needed there Bypass Valve Modified... although i may be mistaken. I have also read that from 2005 onwards they were corrected but then i guess Roland will have worked on these at somepoint and they will have been corrected aswel. Scott |

| Banned | I had the bypass valve mod done to my 06 mcs. Must have needed it as i paid for it. Dont know if it makes a difference in performance on its own as i had the gtt manifold and lightened crank pulley at the same time. Definiteley felt a difference with all three mods ![]() |
