Knocking Sound on JCW

Hi Guys and Girls

Wondering if you can help, my JCW is making a strange noise........every since it came back from the garage after having the rocker cover replaced as it was spirting oil.

The noise is a knocking/popping noise coming from behind the pedals in the engine bay.

If happens only when in gear and the clutch fully out.

I press the pedal and get the pop/knock and let off the pedal and get the pop/knock.

It sounds like when you push a dent in a plastic drinks bottle and pop it back out again.....very strange!!!!!

Can you guys help?
