worthwhile mod?

I currently have a 15% pulley reduction. Would it be worth swapping it for a 17% one. Maybe the alta. I already have all the necessary bits to go with it such as gtt intercooler, spark plugs, cai, exhaust and manifold etc.
Whad do you think?

Ye why not? You have the GTT intercooler and highflow manifold that will expell more heat!

Hi Luka, a better bet would be the 2 piece GTT +1% ,+2% or +3% Crank Pulley (as you already have a smaller SC pulley.). This gives the boost and mid range increase AND the faster engine response due to the the low weight of our crank pulley . Best Regards Roland GTT

Thats a pity as we have a 17% AltaV2 pulley in stock for testing so we could of come to an arrangement

If you want to spend a day and do a before and after dyno runs let us know

Though thinking about it might be cheaper overall to order another crank pulley from Roland and do before and after.

Think i would rather have the 17% pulley instead of an enlarged crank pulley as i am happy enough with the lighwieight stock size one. Only had the crank pulley fitted 2 weeks ago.
How much would it be to have the 17% alta v2 pulley installed. Dont mind doing a before and after run.

Simple answer is depends on what you use the car for. As has been discussed at length on MINI2 the 15% seems to give better dyno results than 17% sometimes and often the 15% sees better strip results. However having driven cars with both 15% and 17% on the road i'd say the 17% often appears more powerful in real world driving conditions. Although the 15% is still almost up with it.

I have just swapped JCW pulley and 3% crank pulley for 17% Alta V2 and standard crank pulley. Seems much better to me.
