I think the answer is for you to have your own means of data logging so the tuning company you choose understand your particular requirements.

To do what you require is nearly what BMW would tune their cars to do, i.e extreme opposites.

this shouldn't be rocket science with over ten tuners offering 250 bhp and beyond
so....
big night out, but you want something safe say Shepperd's pie

think off 5 top chefs, for the same dish all will have a different recipe and say theirs is the best, no one will like their dish being messed with by the other chefs, all will have their own special ingredient, and all will suggest reasons as to why theirs is much better than the rest
and offer you "evidence"

i suggest you take a big pinch of salt and then come to your own conclusions
to my knowledge no one has had the time or the budget to taste all whats being offered

However as stated earlier a car can pink on the RR but not on the road.If you retard it its better on the RR but poorer on the road. If cars need or will benefit from remap thats what we do.
Our car (supercharged) ran 273 bhp on stock map, simply because it was the best. I have 12 maps to choose from..
Oh our GTT300T with differnt map sensors (3 bar) different injectors, turbo and everthing else under sun changed runs........stock map!!

Hi, how can I check if my car pinking or not? It is possible to do that on the simple way?

1) Ignition timing (advance or retard it)
2) Fuelling. Now assuming you have a pulley (15% or 17%) ,and stock injectors there is virtually no more fuel available (duty cycle) to put more fuel in if you wanted. And if you cant put more fuel in you cant add any timing advance as they will pink (stock map timing is very close to optimum at this point).
You will never get large power increases on a 'pullied' MCS by re-mapping. The people that show these power increases do both the mapping AND the before/after power runs. !!
I would advise at least use a 'non Mini tuners' RR for both the runs, dont even tell them whats been done .
Save your money and fit bigger injectors and maybe the Adjustable FPR we do . Get someone to set it up with a Wide Band ....and you WILL get power (still not 20+bhp though).
If your mapping were to need changing to the extent that you did gain 20+bhp then that is because of a faulty sensor (eg T Map) or an air leak. Two wrongs dont make a right.(especially if you replace the dicky sensor later on.) Stock mapping on a 'pullied' car is very close to optimum.
Best Regards roland GTT

What duty cycle are you running on the stoch setup then?

And what is the duty cycle on the GTT230?

Today at Santa Pod

60ft 2.1189
330ft 5.9778
1/8 9.2690
mph 75.25
1000 12.0108
1/4 14.4786
mph 95.12

We dynoed the Mini yesterday and it showed 195bhp. (stock engine with Janspeed manifold and cat, Borla Cooper cat back)

The Mini had a extra ballast today as it had an extra 5 gals of fuel 50lb and a passenger seat though it didn't have the nitrous bottle in, so I believe one would cancel out the other.

So using the formula BHP=(mph/236)x(mph/236)x(mph/236)x weight lbs

The answer comes out at 194.75bhp

Did you go?? we saw a silver S up there but never found it due to having the kids with us.
