Cooper to JCW in one step?

Hey all,

I was wondering if its possible to upgrade from a mini cooper to a JCW in one step? My friend has a cooper and has the opportunity to buy a Cooper S gearbox (clutch, flywheel and drive-shafts) and a JCW kit. If he gets the lot, what other engine parts will he need?? Bascially what he would need to go to Cooper S MINUS any parts that are upgraded from the JCW kit.

I really hope someone can answer this Thanks to anyone who can help

Sunny

is that Sunny Sunny , i'm sure its possible to do but i dont really think its worth their while, their are a couple of JCW' S's on carzone at reasonable prices that would be a better option IMO. Plus they'd find it real hard to sell a cooper that was converted to a cooper s JCW.

you'd need a S bottom end, rods and pistons, head gasket, intercooler and all the piping etc, Cooper S bonnet and probably a whole host of things i haven't listed.

also the battery would need relocating to the boot for the JCW air filter to fit. you'd also need all the other thigns for the gearbox like starter motor, mounts, linkage, gearstick and so on. lots and lots to do, lots of money and insurance will be a bugger.

so probably better to chop the cooper in against a real JCW
