Offline | Supercharger Pulley Comparision Hi, Has anybody done a pulley comparison. Comparing same size pulleys but different makes. There must be some performance differences considering the variation in materials used and the difference in weights. |

Offline | An intresting subject Chris, whether you could measure it is another thing. I think even if there was small difference like 14.8% v a 15.2% pulley I'm not sure you would see enough difference. But until someone does a pulley shootout who knows. If all the manufactures donated there pulleys and everyone chipped in for dyno time I'd be up for it. Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it |

Offline | Assuming pulley isnt slipping on the shaft, alignment is correct, V form is correct profile, and size is the same then performance will be the same. We prefer a SC pulley to :- -Look as stealth as poss - Be of the same material as the shaft (steel) -Less risk of slippage and lower wear rate. -Interference fit (as per OEM) , but still removable. -Very accurate 6PK Micro V form. | Thinking Minis | Now that my car is fully equipt with data logging equipment Im planning to do a few tests. Looking at my graphs is already clear where some power is lost and gained ![]() Most would assume that boost pressure at 5000rpm would be the same in every gear! Its not, in fact at peak rpm it varys by 2psi from 2nd gear to 5th ![]() For All Your Mini's Needs ![]() 01905 620011 |
