Any mod after supercharge pulley?

Hi,
Recently I just bought a 17% supercharge pulley from alta.

Just wondering do i need to fit anything else such as ecu or header after i fit 17% supercharge pulley as it will increase the boost.

Thanks for recommendation !!

definiately better spark plugs. I have the jcw modified ones.
Maybe a map but depends on the car.
Also a smaller pulley belt to suit reduced pulley

Just a smaller belt or its going to slip.... also colder plugs too

If you have lots of money you want to use though you could get a new filter, intercooler, manifold Also I would recommend reading the bypass valve thread and checking yours to make sure it isnt leaking like most from the factory do.

1. A shorter serpentine belt is required to fit the 17%
2. Colder range spark plugs (i can recommend ngk range 7 irridium ones)

Then theres some stuff that is not really essencial but helps/gives you the most from your mod.

Many folks say bigger injectors (Just in case of leaning out at high revs in 5th 6th. Stock are 330cc and lots of folks use JCW 380cc). I have 330cc with 15% and no issues but some people do get problems using stock injectors once the reduction in pulley increases.

Better intercooler (smaller pulley generates more heat in the engine/air) to cool air for max performance/boost

Inproved air intake and manifold (even a high flow panel will just help that little bit, bit a cold air intake will really make a difference to temp of air and flow rate)

Currently, Iridium IK22, remus cat back system and Alta version 2 CAI fitted in my car.

Just precaution that if i increase the boost by fitting the 17% supercharge pulley, i scare my engine will not last long if i increase the boost without further mod like header, intercooler etc.

When i bought the 17 supercharge pulley, I also bought the belt recommended by Alta.

So, Do you guyz think that it should be alrite??

25K miles here with a 17% pulley and +1% crank on standard injectors..... you'll be fine. Just be careful on really hot days unless you do the intercooler

Hot days = hot air (poor IC cooling) and therefore extra heat on inlet air and in engine bay. All this, plus stock injectors always being a touch lean, can add up and start to increase the risks of detonation thus damaging the engine. The colder the air the less risk of issues. However some injectors and/or cars are better than others. Mine runs brilliantly ... others with similar set-ups have had issues with needing fueling imporviments

no question is ever stupid, whats stupid is not to ask if your not sure, and take a chance with your engine, i don't give a stuff what sounds silly at first, knowledge is not genetic
