manifold power run

Has anyone had a power run carried out on the new 4-2-1 two part manifold from minimania & what are the differences between the high flow cat & the de-cat when fitted.

I think Paul at 1320 is going to do one... I'm looking forward to seeing the results too...

Is yours the new two part system. i.e so that you can remove the cat . If so are you running the de-cat pipe or the hi fow cat.

No mine has a non removable cat, but it still sounds fantastic even with my standard cat back system, it has made the car so much more fun to drive as the low down and mid range torque is nutts!

A friend of mine has the MiniMania exhaust manifold aswell but is running a de cat with a Miltek cat back. Its very loud but sounds awsome, it produces such a tuned ralley sound.

I'm running the new one with the new decat pipe which looks like a CAT and I must say the car seems to just want to cruise along hardly even toughing the throttle and when you do the mid range torque feels quite a bit stronger.

Dont trust these numbers 100% as I wipped all the good data but at a quick test I did a few days ago:

30-70mph Test
6.2seconds Standard Manifold
6seconds MM Manifold and decat

Personally the decat is too loud with my one ball exhaust but maybe with a miltek it might sound better but I doubt it. The CAT is going straight in when I get it which the neighbours will be happy about

The manifold will make a bigger difference once you have a pulley fitted!! My MCS eats Scooby WRX's for dinner!
