Offline | For the money the GRS intercooler is the way to go, £399 available at Lohen and MINIMania both MINI2 sponsers (vs £549 for the Alta from Lohen and £658 for the M7 DFIC from essentilal MINI). Check the Nam forums to see if you can find anything that shows cold hard proof of any improvement of the Alta V2 and M7 DFIC. Avoid the Forge one to. ![]() |

Offline | There is a lot of debate over the DFIC style ICs. TBH I'd avoid them as they don't work without some significant work being do to the airflow through the cars intake....they could work if the right work was done....but for the money get something different. The GRS and GTT ICs both have road, rolling road and dragstrip proof of the fact they work. For the cash the GRS is great value but for a little more the GTT is even bigger, and from my experience of both seems to keep the inlet fractionally cooler |

| MINI2 Regular | Cheers guys this is quite supprizing! I have herd a few people say thats the atla was amazing as it is a direct flow straight into the intercooler but its kind of six and two threes as you are limited by size as a result of the intake and ensuring its as big as possible. Then on the other had the gtt etc have a bonus in to face that they have sucha large surface area and as you say they are rolling roaded! Phil |

| MINI2 Master | Lohen told me that they had tested the Alta DFIC and it performed a lot worse than a GRS intercooler. Pound for Pound they said that the GRS was the better option. M7 stuff always seems to sound technically right in theory , but in practice never seems to give what they say it will. |
