Great thread, it nice to see a measurement of usable power.

I tried this in my Golf TDI to see how it compares.

Mk4 Golf TDI 130
185 bhp (approx after remap)
325 lb/ft (approx after remap)

1. 5.97
2. 6.12
3. 6.01
4. 5.87

Average: 5.99

Its not a true comparison (due to the difference in gear ratios etc) but I thought I would put the results up anyway.

I'm very interested to see how everyone compares as this will test low end/mid range torque which is what we really use everyday instead of outright drag stripe HP. The idea is to read dead on 30mph and then floor it to 70mph.

These can easily be taken on any straight flat piece of national speed limit road with a stop watch and using the OBC read out. Please no slip roads as it can be dangerous and most of them either go up or down hill.

Mine was taken from the average of 4 runs rather than the fastest:

GTT 230+ with a couple of extra mods - 6.2seconds

Thanks

Hi kpg, yes IMHO that setup youve got judging by your RR printout on the ' I went to the dyno last light ' thread
is going to be seriously laggy on the road. I'll put up some spool up comparisons with our GTT300T conversions in the near future.
Have you tried 30 to 70 in third gear? -To be fair your power is moved up the rev range so your available power band suits second gear much better, and peak power will be good as long as theres enough exhaust gas in reserve to produce more boost.
Best Regards Roland GTT

Had a R56 mini one for the last 3 days since I have had my car in at the dealers for warranty work so just thought I would test the 30-70 time so here is the result:

Three runs carried out and the average was 13.13 seconds!!!

Got my car back today and it feels soooo fast lol

Regards

James
