are yeah that was me, i don't wanna even state my times, i was really really really not happy. Gave up after 5 runs, What ever i tried i could not get a good start, I have put it down to the tyres, i need some normal tyres fro the front, so gonna get a set of ****** 16's off ebay bung some non run flats on then have another go. I had so much **** taking that day it was unbelievable. And to cap it off my best time of the day , shhhh did somebody say 15.04 is actually .1 of a second slower than my previous Diesel Ibiza. Was well gutted,

Oh and before anyone says, oh it must just be slow, my car is defo a 14.5 sec minimum car all day long. I had a tally up when i got back to look through all my old slips ( yep i keep em sad!) and turns out that i broke through the 100 mark this time going up the strip, counted it up and thats in 6 different cars.

So now i got to sort it out, hoping to have wheels in time for 28th when i go back up there for last RWYB.

What was your best mph Ant?? can you list your best et increments of the day.

I'll bring up my slicks for the 28th and you can have a go with them, they're 25 in tall so it'll save you changing into 4th just before the finishing line.

Personally I would take it back to the dyno and re dyno it because you should of been trapping at least in the 98s+

We bought them for Castle Coombe so I thoughI might as well give them a go.

Theyhooked up well the first go to a tune of 2.11 but after that I might of got to greedy on the rpm,

They hooked really well on the 3rd go as well but the experimental shaft let go at about 30ft ( the shaft had twisted at the BMW show)

This size tyre with a post july 04 box and lsd / quaife with the right combo of horsepower generating parts will make any Mini a 13 sec Mini

i honestly never looked at the speed as was so disspointed with times., i know on two runs i did'nt even bother with 4th, will have a look when i get home.

Trust me it does'nt need to go to the Dyno, i just need to sort out a descent start, the best time was acheived with DSC on as i was sick of no traction. and that was all over the place.

I think when ilook at the time shets its gonna be very poor 60ft times, from memory my usuall in theold ibiza was 2.3 but i would be surprised if any of the 60ft times were under 3, they simply were that bad . i will post up when i get in tonight. i even struggled against a smart car off the line.....lol

The slicks will cure your 60ft problem you can launch at 7400 then

PM your e-mail sheet and I'll send you an excel spreadsheet which you might find usefull.

Ant FR i was running on the saturday and know what you mean by the lack of traction! Plus i kind of cooked my clutch a little on the first run! The best time i ran was a 14.7 which for my first time doing anything like this i was not to unhappy about as i had a wicked day, but i definatly know i can do better so im gonna get a couple of 16's (maybe 15's if they fit over the brakes) with some proper tyres on to put on the front then see what i can do

I reckon the third one (1111) is the best as it shows your logo etc and the lighting is great showing the smoke etc.

There are some advantages off being old (feet and inches),there's a lot of references in drag / hot rod films "you going up the 1320 this weekend" took me ages to suss it out as well
