Offline | Thanks again guys. We have just fitted up the car with GTT/Porsche Turbo brakes with 17" Ultraleggereras. (ET37) No spacers on rear, 5mm on front. Note the clocking in of the disc. The disc assembly is machined to .001" TIR . If the hub is perfect, even bolted on (use 4 bolts NOT just the single countersink grubscrew) total indicator reading is still within .001" at the edge of the disc. see pics:- |

Offline | We didnt want 3 cores stacked one behind the other (intercooler, condensor, rad) , and wanted the intercooler in the bumper aperture for max cooling & performance. A shorter condensor could be fitted above the intercooler. We could customize this design for someone if required. Windows work fine for me though, and UK isnt very hot for more than a few days a year anyway. |

Offline | Just curious Roland, why not fit spacers to the rear too? Surely the wider your stance all-round, the better? Absolutely. I don't have A/C in the UK, but when I visit my parents in the states - well, you'd die without A/C in Alabama. It's blisteringly hot. | MINI2 Master | It has the desired result of giving you more grip at the front on turn in, so less understeer. A wider track on the rear would have the opposite effect of more understeer. Most front wheel drive cars have a wider front track, but the MINI is an exception in OEM form. 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Yes it should do. This unsettled feeling is what gives the car a faster turn in. make the car too balanced and it will turn slowly, make it too unbalanced and it's hard to stay in control. This is a classic battle in suspension design. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | Ah, so inexperienced (i.e. useless) drivers like me should either space all the wheels out evenly to maintain the handling characteristics while improving stability, or leave it as OEM track widths front and back. I like the way my car handles (particularly now I added Koni FSD shocks) so don't want to change the characteristics, but a bit more grip all round wouldn't go amis. ![]() NeuroBeaker - Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 MINI ONE). *WARNING!* Thesis writing in progress. Offline | hi Chris, unfortunatly we are limited to what close ups we can show without giving too much away ..... this forum can & does get seen by many competitors. Inlet manifold is very good design ,four equal stubs at 90 degrees to a larger 'feed tank' ...matchs well to head, nice radiused lead in on each We do some mods to it but you wont better it if you fabricate something up.![]() |
