Online | GTT300T Acceleration Tests...results Ok guys the tests were using a customers GTT300T car which also has GTT stage4 head, cam and Miltek catback to further increase power. We have not incresed boost either, though it does hit 22psi on the road ,against 21psi on the RR. We had BP 97 Ron fuel in (so not ideal) and standard tyre pressures. We used both G tech and stopwatch to time. We had 2 persons in the car for all tests, it slows us down but tbh its difficult to operate the clocks etc when driving with this much power. Ambient temp 9 degC. Charge air temps around 25 deg C in third gear. 2nd gear tests:- 30-70mph ...2.85 secs 3rd gear tests 30-70mph...4.85secs 50-90mph....3.58secs 50-80mph.....2.95secs Combined 3rd & 4th gear tests 60-100mph...3.48 60-110mph...5.12secs 50-100mph...4.75secs Best Regards Roland GTT ![]() |

| I'm avin 'oops | feom a laymans view I am impressed I would imagine the biggest problem is getting the power down to the tarmac with that amount of power through the front wheels wish i could get some more out of my standard MCS but as a company cant I am not allowed unless Roland fancies doing some thing that is very easily reversible OR is hidden hint hint well done mate! ![]() More Air + More Fuel = More Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Offline | Fancy using G tech and not using the 1/4 mile timing facility ![]() Congrats to Roland and Lee on the numbers, it must be killing Lee seeing all these numbers and not knowing what it feels like. Offline | So when you say IAT are 25 deg is that at 7500rpm in 3rd? What was the timing doing on the rollers if the IAT were at 62 deg @ 7500rpm?? Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 IT'S NOT HOW MUCH YOU SPEND BUT HOW WELL YOU SPEND IT |

Online | Yes weve only used time/speed tests that are not effected by driver/wheelspin/clutch control etc. This way people can see real world performance of the conversion itself rather than the results being heavily influenced & clouded by the grippiness off the line, clutch control, gearchange etc. Or tdrag racing tricks like travel limiters on the front suspension to give a better launch. Aside from that this type of treatment can damage engine mounts/driveshafts/gearboxes etc. I dont think Lee would appreciate that. I know Lees not interested in traffic light grandprix's (same for me)![]() At about 7000rpm, yes intake temp on the road was 25-26 degs . You can see how poor the Superchips fan was. |

Offline | for the sheer fun of it, tell me this is all at 30mpg as well, then i can justify one of these to "her indoors" as a green and fuel saving measure for x-mas ![]() ![]() carefree |

Offline | One of the guys we know who goes up the Pod has an immaculate MK1 Escort with a cossie engine in it with 8 injectors. Last meeeting the car run 10.2 at 135 and drove home and gets 30mpg running on 4 of the 8 injectors. Offline | Congrats! Quite a time on the 30-70mph that we can measure again the rest. At the end of the day these are the real world thinks that modifying a car is all about. Its not always green light racing....but 2,3 or 4th gear acceleration to show how fast you are or to overtake safer. |

Offline | What can it max out in 4th Roland? will you be doing another thread for the dyno graph?? Unfortunatley a lot of people understand 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, its quite nice to know you can run as quick as a Mclaren F1 ![]() Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 IT'S NOT HOW MUCH YOU SPEND BUT HOW WELL YOU SPEND IT |

Online | Yes but they are misleading ,for the reasons I mention above. eg.If I put my engine in your drag set up car with you driving , you'll get better results than with my engine in my track day/road setup car with me driving. 50-90 in third gear gives approx the same result with either setup or driver. (though one of your guys is very light IIRC). Or to be fair but a complete buffoon behind the wheel on Dunlop runflats no diff and a part worn clutch and that will be even worse. 30mpg is easily achievable with GTT300T.....just not pedal to the metal everywhere. ![]() |

Offline | like I said on the other thread totally agree with the 3rd gear times as it rules out driver etc etc though weight, gearbox and tyre height will play a part of the result. I do like the 2800 - 6800 because this simulates a dyno run, which rminds me to start a new thread. It all depends on the driver which test is more relevant to there style of driving. Offline | Roland, Very impressive figures.. still watching this car closely... Has anyone any timings for say a Porsche or an M3/M5 for similar acceleration which could be used as a comparison/yardstick for the GTT300T? Cheers Jason |
