| MINI2 Regular | Great figures Paul! I would also like to prove the value for money point too.. 15% Pulley - £250 fitted Alta CIA (second hand) £50 fitted Milltek Cat back (second hand) £225 fitted Janspeed Manifold (second hand) with new 120cpsi CAT £150 fitted MTH Remap (pre price hike) £200 All that made 226bhp and 170ft lb with 2 worn piston rings + oil in the cylinders and im sure it would make 230+ now. Seems you dont need to splash major cash to get the power you want and I consider mine to be a friday night special! |

Offline | my theory is compression from break in... when I checked mine in stock form it was close to 170 across the board... vs 130-140 ish from other cars that were dynoing very low... now most people would just laugh at me about my break in theory... so that's why I use the wednesday build theory LOL... seems to be much more widely accepted LOL It is true that Paul sent me the message... he must have really thought I was some kinda lunatic... LOL |

| Banned | Loui... GT4 Baz is talking about Bedford Autodrome on Saturday 15th December for an open pit lane track day. Be good to gauge interest in this actually as it would be nice to see a load of Mini's there as they have been a rare sight at Beford this year. Track time begins at 9am and finishes at 4pm and the whole day is only £119. For those of you that haven't tried Bedford its a must do experience... the run off areas are massive so you can find the limit without the worry of hitting anything. Confirmed so far are: GT4 Baz BigShow Maybe's: 1320 BRM Cooper For more info go here MotorSport Vision - A New Era in British Motorsport |

Offline | Are we saying that Friday engine's actually get less than 170bhp? Or that Friday engines get 170bhp and Wednesday Engines get a lot more. I felt mine was a quick S out the box and a Works was not much faster (there's was defo a Friday car though but thats all I'm allowed to say *L* ) ![]() |

Offline | Roland, I just been looking a your website and I cant believe you even question our figures when you can reach that figure without even a camshaft being fitted. Was those figures based on the tuners company car, what was the torque and wheel horsepower with this combo? GTT240+ ecu remap + optimised bypass valve + high temp iridium sparkplugs + GTT supercharger pulley + shorter 'stickier' drive belt +GTT twin bearing idler pulley + GTT 'cold ram' induction system + GTT large top mount 16 tube intercooler c/w GTT diffuser + GTT exhaust re-route pipe + GTT lightweight 2 piece sports manifold & cat + GTT 63mm throttle body £2495+vat FITTED Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 IT'S NOT HOW MUCH YOU SPEND BUT HOW WELL YOU SPEND IT |

Offline | I knew people would start asking me this, unfortunatley it seems you have a Friday result, but what year is your car and what mileage have you done and has your supercharger belt been changed?? It might be as simple as your belt is slipping. I'm gutted that you were one of the ones where Charlie kicked the plug out. so no data. Best thing to do if you're not happy with the result is to pop up and we'll do a compression and leakdown test and go from there. | MINI2 Master | nothing like a good old rolling road read out to get the discussion going. And surrey seem to be the preferred choice for people on here too, so should be no conspiracy theories like we normaly get......lol How do the new injectors get used fully without a change to the map. Surely they can only squirt what they are told to squirt ( that my layman term...lol) because even JCW cars that use the injectors have an uprated map on them. Also what Cam has the ar got, is it one of these Schrik ones i keep reading about, seems strange to change the cam and not chaneg the head at the same time, was there a particular reason for this. i've always been told that the head is one of the worst areas of design in the MCS engine, and always been told that maximum benefit can be had here from doing the right mods. |

Offline | Thats why we haven't published any of our un-independant dyno figures as we know how much stick we would of got for it. The std injectors actually made more power than the 380 JCW on our dyno but they are on the borderline at that level. This isn't a Shrick cam, most Shrick cams loose a little at the bottom then gains at the top, this one seems to gain all round as evident by the 30-70 improvement / progress. You can fool the head with a cam, if you read any limited class rules where valve lift is limited you will appreciate how much hp these guys are making with things that shouldn't work, unfortunatley most people believe adverts. (NHRA Super Stock) A head is the most trickest part but I'll let Kuhmo Kid and Roland tell you about there R&D and discoveries.
