Offline | It doesn't work exactly like that... the ECU is map is programmed with percentage and load... but not necessarily the injector size... even though the map is geared to the size of the factory injector... it's not sitting there "thinking" about the injector... this really matters at idle... for instance i have 550s... and therefore I have to use a piggy back to trim back the fuel at low rpm... other wise I am shooting flames ever shift... which while that is neat.. it is not good for fuel consumption LOL ![]() so it works like this.. the injector is going to open X percent... but fuel pressure will then allow for more fuel to be pushed through due to the fact that once it's at 100% open... then the fuel pressure makes up what matters... if anything what this means is the percent that the injector is open is accually bigger than what is needed for a larger injector to deliver the same amount of fuel... so if anything you have MORE fuel than needed when you put larger injectors on... the static fuel pressure in the mini is very high... compared to what I would run normally if I had a full after market fuel system... and the boosted fuel pressure is able to go equally high... allowing for the mini to very easily do things that would normally need to be addressed right away on other platforms... so I know this isn't really the best explanation, you are correct though that rescaling for the injector size is the right way to do it... but that's mostly for drive ability and MPG than anything JCW injectors are not big enough that it matters... and will allow for the extra fuel needed in most cases of modding since most people dont go too crazy... |

Online | Damn... my brain hurts! I'll sleep on this and see if the answer comes to me...... Think all the petrol/exhaust fumes from all that banger racing and destruction derby has screwed my brain! |

Offline | Forgot to say that we made more horsepower on our dyno with 330cc but I wouldn't advise a customer to do this, thats why we turned up at SRR with the 380cc in. Cant wait to get a tune, hopefully this will be the next big leap for this combo. Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it |

Offline | The a/f is to high, we'll be experimenting with Jan on what we can and cant do and coming up with the best combo for those particular cars. We actually tried a stock cat last week and a one ball and a stock system. Its so nice having the dyno so you can see what is happening.
