There you go guys, if you want a blinking quick cooper S for reasonable money, thats what you need to do! I would also add a scangauge so you can keep an eye on things when hooning around, just to be on the safe side ![]() Looking forward to get the cars together at the Autodrome now! |

Offline | We are always testing new ideas Roland and proving / disproving theories, there is so much hype and people spending money where they dont need to. The Improvent at the moment from stock stands at 40+ horsepower , I wouldn't sell this as a 240 or even a 230 kit as there defintley seems to be vehicles which even in standard form make a max of 15 horsepower difference. I forgot to add to the first post that it is an 02 gery coated supercharger as well ![]() Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 IT'S NOT HOW MUCH YOU SPEND BUT HOW WELL YOU SPEND IT |

Online | Not bad guys, but still 32bhp short of our 'tuners own car' figure of 273bhp (240whp) also done on a Mini shootout day. If you had used the higher spec GTT intercooler and GTT Manifold I reckon you may have got 250bhp.Proven reliability and longevity are of equal importance, we like to include alot input in this area with all our conversions. Still was a good day out by all accounts. Matter of interest what were JCW 200 and JCW210's putting out on the day (if there were any) Best regards Roland GTT ![]() |

Offline | Maybe your own car 273bhp stage 2 head stock injectors with the GTT modified stock manifold is a better combonation than the results that we saw of your GTT customers engine as at SRR they were not near your awsome figures. Send a GTT Intercooler and ex manifold up and we'll fit them and go back down to SRR dyno again. On the tuner car / engine front this is an engine which had covered 47,000 in someone else's car and we've had just added the bits nothing special no nothing trick. You're right on the realibility front I'd hate to be late dropping the kids off at school. Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 IT'S NOT HOW MUCH YOU SPEND BUT HOW WELL YOU SPEND IT |

Online | Theres 2 or 3 guys with almost your setup. (ie Janspeed, GRs, and Alta 17%) but no cam making a lot less power than you. Why is that? The cam you say is 'same grind as Shrick' and I know that wont make '20bhp odd 'difference. Something doesnt add up . Yes the engine was someone elses once. But its in your own demo car . Who with a GTT260 conversion went to the RR? Because thats what spec my car was. I know everyone thats had a GTT260 fitted & setup by us. Why would you not have 'at the very least' a secondhand JCW head on your car. I mean you're breakers, so your going to pick the best bits out the pile of parts for your own car even if you dont want to pay for aftermarket gasflowing. You guys drag race,..... your going to leave out nothing . Also what fuel did you use? Maybe Sunoco GT (109 octane high oxygen) ![]() I thonk I can see why you wouldnt offer those 4 or 5 parts as a 241bhp conversion. |

Offline | Out of interest Roland, what does the GTT260 package cost? Is it the same price as what 1320 has suggested? Also, why do you always seem to put other tuners down? I don't even own a mini yet but I have been looking at this forum for a while now to see what to look out for on second hand cars and all you seem to do is snipe at any other tuner that dares suggest their own mods. Are you worried about competition? As you rightly say (and are proud of) the devleopment work you have done on the mini is great, surely you don't need to put others down to help sell you kits? You already have many happy customers (as do Lohen and 1320) so why make assumptions that 1320 have some how "cheated" (high flow heads, high octane race fuel) to fudge the figures? It just makes you look bitter and desparate and not appealing at all to a possible future customer. ![]() |

Online | hi Baz, I just like to know whats going on thats all. IMO the power relative to the mods and relative to other cars with nigh on the same mods is very high, Im just asking why. If someone was fudging something ( Im not saying they have btw) its in the interest of every mini user to know. Blimey 1320 question everything I do. They have more posts on my threads than I do (check back youll see what I mean) This is one reason we used a customer GTT300T conversion on the RR was because it represents 'what you get' not ' what you'd like to get' . Best Regards Roland GTT ![]() |

Offline | Roland, We filled up with 99 Tesco the night before at 19.05, 28.94 litres £30.94, we used no additive, otcane booster or race fuels. As i thought I had explained before but obviously didn't make myself clear enough, that there seems to be Wednesday built engines and Friday built engines, this phenomen can see up to 15 horsepower difference (now known as "Tuls theory")So if a Wednesday engine turned up and added these mods it would probably make exactly the same as ours 240bhp, If a Friday afternoon engine turned up it might only make 225 bhp so still the same gain but you're starting with a less efficent engine. I think I might have now sussed out why but we'll have to wait for a customer to come in with a Friday engine. Our camshaft makes gains where the Shrick doesn't, we were lucky with the S cam that we got it spot on the first time, but that doesn't mean that we will rest on our laurals we'll keep experimenting, we might loose horsepower and torque 9 times out of 10 or even 10 out of 10, as with the Cooper cam, we didn't see any change and it might takes us another 10 camshafts untill we're happy. Dont forget BRM Cooper saw 229bhp on the same dyno on the same day, his is the strongest Wednesday built engine we have ever seen(167whp 195bhp stock) BRMCooper Surrey Rolling Road result 191.9@wheels (229.1@fly) 170ft lb@wheels (201ft lb) Mods: Alta 15% Alta CAI 4-2-1 mani JCW Back box I cant believe that your Spin Dotor took that long to ome up with that one ![]() And whose crank pulley was I recommending to one of our customers on Friday, GTT.
