Question Throw out bearing going ????

Just noticed over the past couple of days when ive started the car theres an ever so slight rattling, and as soon as i put the clutch in it goes away. now it is only very faint, but should i be worried about the clutch ? Its a MY05 2006 cooper S, its only done 38000km's (~25000miles) and it hasnt had a hard life, virtually all my K's are done on the highway. talked to the dealer over the phone and he thinks it might just need lubing up ?

what do you guys think?

Clutch release bearing, it'll only get noiser over time. Cant be greased, requires replacement.

mines a 2003 cooper s & it's done it for about 12 months now . it's much louder when the mornings are cold. it went into 2 diffrent dealers under warrenty & they both said it's due to the fly wheel design & it's gear chatter not a thrust bearing.
nothing could be done about it & to be fair it's no worse now than it was 12 months ago. you will find that one the car is warmed up it will get better.

Complain to the dealer and make sure they write it up.
If they say it's nothing and it gets worse out of warranty, the record of complaint during the warranty period will allow them to cover it.
I got my sunroof replaced that way.

Almost certainly the Dual Mass Flywheel, which has been a considerable issue in the 05/06 cars. murmini - MINI Cooper Blog : The Dual Mass Flywheel
