Offline | Alternatives to JCW 380cc injectors Hi, I am after a set in larger injectors.... The JCW 380cc seem to sell for around £230 ( ebay ect), are there any alternative injectors that can be used that cost less but deliver the same performance ? Thanks Pern ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | in a word, no. JCW injectors are cheap as far as injectors go. GTT offer there own, but these are not much difference in price. To put this into context, a set of uprated injectors for a Golf Tdi are 900 quid. Also anopther little thing, minis use the old style injectors, if we were using the modern Piezo injectors you would be looking at upwards of 1500 pounds. |

Offline | Yes there are alternatives. Some by Boshe I believe. However the prices as Ant FR says are very similar. Your best option especially if your running a high boost set-up (which your 19% BBR is) is to get a variable Fuel Pressure Reg and some 450cc injectors because I have a feeling even JCWs will be running a little lean on that car. Not to the point of melt down but there would be defo power/running smoothness gains to be had with a nice big injector and alterable fuel pump to lower the temps. R |

Offline | I know a few folks running 450cc injectors and also GTT VFPR. Their fuel is about the same as before, not a great deal worse anyhow. Certainly they have all noticed much smoother engines, deeper exhaust notes and lower temps since doing the mods. I believe that one mentioned 24mpg in the pub (My S which is not 450cc or VFPR only does about this on a good day)... I may be getting who said what confused though. I think the reason for the only small shift is that they are getting better power and smoother engines so being less harsh with the throttle. All balances itself out I believe. The man to ask about data would probably be Roland or soopercoopers ?? i think he had his VFPR and injectors done at autotech, while getting his new guages fitted, having run the car with other mods before. | Thinking Minis | Im running 450s with the gtt afpr, and other mods. I have 4 egt sensors and wideband co2 so I know im running correct fueling. Last week on a 200 mile motorway trip my OBC reported 41 mpg. on the open road im lucky to get over 22mpg For All Your Mini's Needs ![]() 01905 620011 |
