is this the idea i suggested ages ago? ie std cat engineered "ie mated " onto performance manifold? as a comparison against race cat/de-cat,
also was this all before 7,200 rpm

It seems to be working well, dont forget Roland made 273 with a std manifold and std cat but with the pre cat removed.

I love cheap power

Maybe a tune will get us over the 250 mark and hopefully some low end torque as well.

I forgot to add that our dyno shows a bit less horsepower than SRR

Thats some seriously cheap power, nice one Paul... can you fit the camshaft to mine tonight before the track day tomorrow??

Just shows that you don't need to spend big bucks to get big power, its about finding the right mods for the car.

You should give Roland a call and buy one of his stage 4 heads then you'd have 287.5 bhp to play with as they make 40 bhp over the stock head.

We've put a 05 ecu in where as the other day we had an 02 ecu in it, its making similar boost to yours now Snowie

I'll guess that my 30-70 is slower, but I think the 0-60 and 0-100 will improve.

From what I see of Jans tunes we might regain the torque at the bottom so we might have the best of both worlds.

Cheers Big Show unfortunatley I'm baby sitting tonight and Thomas is putting Rob "the valves" Hunt engine back in.

I think if we put Rolands GTT stage 4 head on it would make the same as Snowies about low 250s, I know its a strange concept to understand but thats the way it is.

I'll try and explain it at the Bedford Mini2 track day tomorrow.

I have talked to Jan and with this cam we're going to do a map with his 440 injectors so if you want to step up to head you dont have to buy another set of injectors.

Also for those nitrous users you'll have fuel capacity in stock if using a wet system. this could of saved us two pistons in 06

Would you not suffer with overfuelling with that set-up?

Will be interesting to see dyno curves pre & post re-map with that set-up

No, Jan has just done one for a customer who is using a dry system in the states.

Its knowing how to manipulate the ecu correctly.
