hi,

getting a bluefin for my 2003 mini one, but haven't got £300 to spend on it at the moment

if i bought a used unit, and sent it back to superchips to have it reset, am i right in thinking this is £150?

also, if i sent it back to them, would this give me a warranty with them or not? i am guessing not, and if this is so, i think i will wait to get a brand new unit

I had a used OneClick some years back it worked in the same way as a Bluefin more or less, The local agents wanted £150 to erase the map and re map it for my car, they also honoured the manufacturers warranty while it was still less than 12 months old. I had it mapped for a Mini One, then hacked the code so it could be used it on other MINI One's without any problem.
I don't know if you could hack a bluefin so the map was transferrable to other cars, but the One Click worked very well until the plug pins disconnected themselves, but by then the warranty had expired and I'd got a S so I didn't need it any more.
