Offline | try a piper cross viper cold air intake. Thats what i have. It connects to the original feed from the grill to the filter then into the engine. All sealed so is just cold air that gets rammed into the engine. Sounds nice aswell ![]() |

| The Power Cube | i couldn't have been more helpful. Dude, why are you fitting a shiny tube under your bonnet when it's just not needed, and you say yourself, it's cosmetic. No tuner on here does it, not even for 300bhp + So what is the point ???? Hence.... "not required" ..... and.... "the end." Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | Ive change the original air feed on mine. removed it and replaced it all with 76mm air feed pipe, straight from the front to the filter. Ill get a picture up later on when i get home. Flickr Photos: http://flickr.com/photos/22361563@N08/ |

Offline | Theres a guy called beastmaster who did one using some plastic tube, you could do the same but have a shiney metal tube fabbed up? Check his gallery for shots on where he fitted it. PS. GTT260 ... I am gonna be fitting one on my S as the off the shelf stuff is a comprimise between looks, effectiveness and cost that folks are willing to pay. There is always room for improvement on what tuners are offering off the shelf! |

| The Power Cube | wait a minute... we are talking about the air filter here right? Then you can't really beat the GTT one for performance, and in my opinion looks too. GTT tested loads and found the GTT make to be best - not just because it was his own make, but because it was designed to be the best. Any how, this is not a battle so please feel free to fit what ever pleases you, but if it is performance you want then just have a think ![]() Still not sure what the purpose of fitting a big metal tube under your bonnet is going to achieve, even for good looks. Using a large metal tube to look good is surely to emulate the actual cars that have these fitted for race purpose. otherwise you could just fit some shinny bottle tops under the bonnet, because they look good too ![]() It's all good fun ![]() Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | Leave the guy alone, it's his car. He asked how and where, not what difference it makes. I could take a huge turd on my bonnet if i wanted!! Would it make it faster? No. Would it look good? No. Can I do it? Yes. If wanted to I could, although not sure of the legality of taking a dump in public. But don't worry GTT<Insert number here> I won't be asking how and where i can do this on mini2 ![]() |

Offline | I ordered mine from here: eBay Motors: Mini Cooper S - JCW - John Cooper Works Cold Air Intake (item 220202032487 end time Feb-18-08 17:27:55 PST) It's not arrived yet but it cost £170, get the injectors at the same time too to save on postage, I got the injectors for £120. Email the seller about customs etc. |
