Watch out when fit header?

Hi guyz,

never fitted header b4, just wondering is there anything i need to watch out when fitting obx header?

Do i need to remove the heat shield ???
Do i need to fit the flex after extrator?

No you wont have to remove the heatshield as it's flexible.
Yes you should fit a flexjoint to the end of the extraxtors.

If this is being done on your back with the vehicle on stands, removing the left front heat shield will allow easier extraction and insertion. There are two 10mm body nuts and two 8mm screws fastening that heat shield, it is the one covering the rear O2 sensor connector and the shifter cables route through it.

Some more tips, replace the outer head flange bolts with studs like the ones used on the intake manifold, and use 13mm nuts with lock washers. This provides hangers for the header, not a big deal if you have help top side, but when R & R solo it helps big time. Use new fasteners; after a few heat cycles torque the fasteners again (18 ft-lb), and repeat after several more heat cycles.

Just fitted the header today with hi flow cat and resonator.

It pulls hard..
